Hi ! i know its been quite a while since you commented to this post but in YouTube Music vanced there is always high quality setting available that is a premium feature, is it like spotify where its a server feature and even if you change the quality it will still going to be 128kbps/normal ?
I was first introduced to vanced a couple of months ago by my friends, I was skeptical at first about me logging in through my primary account as I didn't know how safe it would be, a day ago I saw vanced on LTT and thought maybe it is safe after all, but I'm still not convinced as to what type of data Vanced might be taking up, does anyone have any idea about it, is it as safe as it sounds to be?
Revanced is open source and safe as long as you follow the official methods for installing. I recommend following this guide to install everything in the official manner. 1. Just don't worry and log in because Google already knows everyones account passwords (at least that's what I think because Google does steal data). What you can do is log in temporarily when you watch videos and afterwards log out.

I personally believe it is safe. microG is very transparent and open about what it is doing, you can learn more about it on the microG homepage or if you'd like to review the code on github. Hopefully this helps you feel safer or at the very least more aware about what you are using/deciding not to use.
