If the link does not exist on the Issue Links configuration page, it cannot be removed from Jira using ScriptRunner. Instead, you need to remove it from GitLab.

But Epics are supposed to be a natural grouping of stories together and tend not to need it (or other Epic types). Software like Align, Advanced Roadmaps, BigPicture and Structure can give you more ways to work with Epics though.

if you want a board that has Epics and Child issues then yes. if you want an epics only board you can do that with a filter and your roadmap would be only Epics as well as your Kanban board. Sounds like you want one board to manage it all in which case the swimlanes makes the most sense to me and it is a super easy change on the board config.

To clone an issue: Open an issue. Select ··· > Clone. Edit the Summary. Choose what to Include (if any). Select Clone. Keep in mind, the prefix Clone is automatically added to the Summary of a cloned issue. Your project admin can use Automation for Jira to remove the prefix in bulk.
